Postdoc Talks: The online series provides an open platform for discussing topics central to the postdoctoral career path. You can gain insights from experts in the research landscape and the academic community, while also exchanging ideas with other postdocs.

Dr. Anna Ehmsen is a licensed psychologist with a PhD from Hamburg University, offering individual and couples counseling both in Hamburg and online. With over 10 years of experience in various clinical settings, she specializes in supporting internationals navigating major life transitions and mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression and burnout.
Having grown up as an expat child and lived in 7 different countries over a 15-year period, Anna has a unique understanding of the challenges faced by those living abroad. This personal experience allows her to empathize with her clients and tailor her approach to meet their specific needs.
Anna takes a holistic approach to counseling, integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology and Mindfulness. She is passionate about combining her psychological expertise with her international background to help individuals and couples thrive abroad.
