This HRA spotlight is an opportunity for you to stop and take stock of your research career: Do you have a vision, and are you being strategic? Through discussion and guided reflection time we will think about:
- Your progress so far on working towards your desired goals
- What might affect your career or research strategy?
- Scanning the wider landscape: policy and funding
- Being strategic: Balancing competing demands on your time
HRA Spotlight: The Hamburg Research Academy offers regular short information sessions on topics central to the doctoral and the postdoctoral career phase. Experts provide basic information and answer your questions.
This event is open to all HRA target groups. However, the content is geared to the needs of the listed target groups. Participation is free of charge, prior registration is requested. For further information please read the conditions of participation.

- Attendance: Participation is only possible, if you can guarantee an uninterrupted attendance.

Dr. Tracey Stead is a trainer, facilitator and certified professional coach, with over 20 years of experience that spans academia and research, public and private sector. Over the past eight years Tracey has established a successful training and development consultancy working across the UK and internationally. She specialises in leadership coaching, training and development with researchers and facilitating collaborative events with researchers, stakeholders and funders.
