E-Learning: Social Media in Science Communication
Do you want to communicate science on social media? Then this e-learning course is the perfect introduction. Here, you will learn about the typical features of social media, the unique characteristics of different platforms, and target audiences. Additionally, you will gain guidance on how to write posts, select media, and set goals.
The interactive learning units are modular and take around 4 hours in total to complete. The content is varied and includes animations and videos. The e-learning can be accessed online at any time after the starting date until the end of the semester, so that you can flexibly integrate the course modules into your everyday life.
The course content was created by the National Institute for Science Communication (NaWik). The course takes place via the online platform "WissKomm-Campus", accessible with all common browsers. No other software is required. We assure you of compliance with all fair data use regulations and the protection of your personal data. You can find more about this in the data protection declaration.
The course is available in English and German - however, we would strongly encourage German speakers to leave the seats to persons relying on English-language workshops, especially since we also offer another social media course in German in this semester's program (LinkedIn für Forschende).
HRA’s Project for Research Communication: This workshop is part of a larger research communication project which is funded by the Claussen-Simon-Stiftung. It can be credited to the topics & formats module of the certificate in research communication.
