The next career step after completing your doctorate comes with several questions: Staying in Hamburg?! How do I apply for a job in industry? What do employers expect and how to transfer my skills and competencies?

For international researchers, applying to the German non-university market (for the first time) can be a particular challenge. However, whether you are looking for a job in the Hamburg metropolitan region or you are interested in international career prospects, the first step can be difficult for all of us. Getting informed about industries and developments, about entry opportunities and application procedures can help to pave the way. 

The "Careers Open" series takes a personal approach to all of these topics: We will bring you into dialogue with Hamburg-based companies, HR consultancies, and helpful service facilities. On this evening, you will have the opportunity to ask your individual questions, talk about challenges and hurdles and, above all, you will get very concrete tips for the first steps. The Old Factory of the Museum of Work provides a creative atmosphere for this. Expand your network and open doors for your next career step!
