HRA spotlight Bahrenfeld – Turning your Research Idea into a Proposal
For STEM postdocs
Don’t let funding calls pass you by because you haven't had time to put the ideas in your head down into a coherent proposal. This is an opportunity to spend some time beginning to tame your great research ideas (however embryonic they are!). These may be ideas that you have been pondering for some time, have discussed with colleagues, but have not quite got them organised and on to paper.
In this interactive webinar you will be introduced to some starting points for working up your ideas so that you have a narrative that can be turned in to a tangible proposal.
Through a combination of reflection, discussion and suggested writing tasks you will learn ways to:
- Provide some structure to your idea
- Begin to refine it to appeal to a funder
- Start to draft it into a skeleton proposal
Please come with some research ideas in your head and aim to leave ready to prepare a proposal when a relevant funding call arises.
HRA spotlight Bahrenfeld: The Hamburg Research Academy offers regular short information sessions on topics central to the doctoral and the postdoctoral career phase. Experts provide basic information and answer your questions.
